1. Head of Operations & Revenue (HoR)

Role Summary

Magna POS is a growing SaaS company serving SMEs. The Head of Operations & Revenue will act as the day-to-day owner of the business engine. This role is fully accountable for revenue growth, customer onboarding, retention, and team execution. The founders are not involved in daily operations; therefore, this role carries real authority and responsibility.

This is a hands-on execution role, not a strategy-only position.

Responsibilities

Revenue & Growth (Primary Accountability)

  • Own monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Drive new customer acquisition and renewals
  • Enforce pricing discipline and paid onboarding
  • Design and manage referral and partnership programs

Sales & Pipeline Management

  • Manage inbound and  outbound sales activities
  • Build and track a structured sales pipeline (CRM discipline)
  • Recruit and manage commission-based sales agents
  • Improve conversion rates across the funnel

Onboarding & Operations

  • Standardise onboarding workflows
  • Reduce onboarding time and friction (e.g., product list setup)
  • Ensure a smooth client go-live experience
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the business

Customer Success & Retention

  • Implement renewal and upsell playbooks
  • Conduct periodic enterprise customer check-ins
  • Identify churn risks early and act on them

People Management

  • Manage and coach employees
  • Set weekly targets and KPIs
  • Hire additional staff only with founder approval

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5–10 years experience in operations, sales, or customer success
  • Proven experience selling to or managing SME / enterprise clients in Nigeria
  • Strong execution, follow-up, and accountability mindset
  • Comfortable with targets, numbers, and performance tracking
  • Ability to manage people and customers simultaneously

Nice-to-Have

  • SaaS, POS software, ERP, or fintech experience
  • Pharmacy, retail, or FMCG exposure
  • Startup or small business leadership experience

Compensation

  • Base Salary: To be discussed (based on experience)
  • Variable Pay: Commission on new revenue and renewals
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to churn reduction and average revenue per account (ARPA) growth
